Laminating processes

The laminating process applies to a number of end-uses in which GP Chemicals provides quality products to address their specific needs.

For the production of high-pressure, high density laminates such as furniture, countertops, cabinetry, flooring we manufacture a line of water soluble and alcohol soluble thermosetting phenol-formaldehyde (PF) resins. We also manufacture a line of melamine-formaldehyde resins that are water soluble for high and low pressure laminates.

These resins are specifically designed to meet individual customer needs such as strength, post formability and low emissions.

Our line of RESI-MIX® wood adhesives also includes products developed for the manufacture of laminated veneer lumber (LVL).

RESI-SET® high temperature phenolic laminating resins were developed for use in the manufacture of fiber-reinforced polymer that meets the requirements of Military Specification MIL-R-9299C, Type II, Class 2.

Many laminate products can benefit from the use of our line of triazone resin products which can extend base polymers, reducing costs while maintaining performance of the end product.
