Adhesives - Tape, Paper, Industrial

Adhesives for the tape and paper industries

GP® urea-formaldehyde and phenol-formaldehyde resins are used for grit adhesion to various substrates in coated abrasives, sandpaper, scrubbing pads and other industrial abrasive applications.

The Georgia-Pacific Chemicals also offers resoles, etherified and novolac resins for thermoset protective coatings for rigid substrates. Both water-based and solution-based products are available.

With substrate adhesion properties and chemical and corrosion resistance, major applications for these products include coatings for drums; pails; pipes; coils; tank and railcar linings; and general metal protection.
